Marlene's new book. Easy Fragrant Herbal Gifts- E-Book 38 pages

Most of us reach for commercial products when we need a disinfectant room spray, without stopping to think that the product contains ammonia, bleach, alcohol and other products that pollute the air in our homes.

Natural herbal disinfectant room may provide safer alternatives.
Forget air fresheners in a can or overwhelming synthetic died pot-pourri!

Go for natural, environmentally friendly and inexpensive home made fragrances instead.

Make your own room spray or simply hang up bunches of aromatic flowers and herbs chosen for their scent and their effects on mood. Try your hand at combining dried herbs in pot-pourri by following some recipes from this book or make up your own.

People have used herbal crafts for centuries to decorate and add fragrance to their homes.

After using your own pot-pourri you will never want to return to buying synthetic fragrances again. Not only is it an economical way to perfume your home it is also natural and does not harm the environment.

Pot-pourri is often inexpensive and available at a wide range of stores. However, it also often smells synthetic and overwhelming, they are most of the time it is sprayed with heavy synthetic perfumes or dyed with materials that can be toxic.

Nature smells better and is healthier for you and the environment; there is nothing nicer than having your home smell fresh with the scents of flowers or spices; nothing overbearing.

You can control what smells you use, use all-natural ingredients and essential oils, and even control the look. Making home-made fragrant crafts requires little time, but the finished product lasts for years. It isn't hard to do and over time, you can have fun making them for gifts, and even for sale if you so desire.

Pot-pourri, with its subtle natural scent, is a favourite for bedrooms and living rooms. Home-made pot-pourri is created by combining the dried nature finds, wood shavings, flowers, leaves, or any other fragrant plant part, in an airtight container and letting it cure over time.
Go on a nature walk and gather materials to make all natural pot-pourri blends for your home.

Lighted pot-pourri jars will make a festive addition to your holiday decor. They're easy to make, inexpensive, and they make great gifts.
You can place them on a small table near your entrance door, in a hallway, or use them as center-pieces for your dining room table!

Besides containers you can put pot-pourri in scented pillows and make sachets with which to perfume your drawers and closets. These also make cheap and charming gifts, especially if you use pretty flowered material and lace to decorate them.

There are often many items that you see in the stores that are expensive, but charming and a pleasant addition to ones home such as candles, fragrant pot-pourri, sachets, and air fresheners.

They are not hard to make. Plus they are pretty reasonable to make.

I cannot imagine the world without out scents and fragrances.
